The human robot project was developed by an associate of our lab, James De Clerck for his eagle scout project. The principal was to have younger students become “robots” by removing their senses and then tasking them with following a line using a dead reckoning approach. “Sensors” (vision limiting tubes, spoken commands, etc.) were then given to the students to assist the line following. This project has been used multiple times in summer youth programs and in the community.
