Summer Youth Program is an even every summer hosted by Michigan Tech where thousands of middle school and high school students spend a week learning about engineering and science. A member of our lab, Eric Wilkening, co-instructed a week long class about mechanical engineering. GUPPIE, DaNI robots, ARTV and vision system were used to demonstrate the robotic side of mechanical engineering. Furthermore, students built and programmed Sea Perch to autonomously navigate an obstacle course.
