{"id":319,"date":"2017-01-12T04:31:59","date_gmt":"2017-01-12T09:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/me.sites.mtu.edu\/meemscd\/?p=319"},"modified":"2022-09-21T14:57:13","modified_gmt":"2022-09-21T18:57:13","slug":"dg-raw-background-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/me.sites.mtu.edu\/meemscd\/dg-raw-background-research\/","title":{"rendered":"TAD Appendix A \u2014 Raw Background Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Upon completion of the Individual Research Document (IRD) assignment, all content for Appendix A is complete (though it may well get updated over the coming weeks). \u00a0Appendix A is a compilation for all team members\u2019 IRDs <strong>(the content pages, not the reference pages)<\/strong> into a single appendix.\u00a0 To do this in <em>Google Slides<\/em> simply open each IRD file, select the content page\/slide in the \u201cfilmstrip\u201d (what the left bar is with thumbnails of all the slides is called; if not showing select <strong>Show filmstrip<\/strong> from the <strong>View<\/strong> menu).\u00a0 Copy it (ctrl+C), then in the TAD click in the filmstrip after the page\/slide the IRD content page is to follow, then paste (ctrl+V).\u00a0 A popup window will give you choices on what formatting to use; select \u201cMatch styles in this presentation\u201d (<strong><em>NOT<\/em><\/strong> \u201cKeep original styles\u201d nor \u201cLink &amp; keep original styles\u201d).\u00a0 If you do this right, the page\/slide title should now read (in the TAD) \u201cAppendix A\u00a0\u2014 Raw Background Research\u201d, not \u201cIndividual Research Document\u201d as it did in the IRD file.<\/p>\n<p>There are two (2) Appendix-A pages in the template as received.\u00a0 Do <strong><em>NOT<\/em> delete<\/strong> or move the first page; it is an introductory page <strong>and also serves as the table-of-contents link target<\/strong>.\u00a0 The second page, at the end, should be retained at this point for future use.\u00a0 You will copy and paste all IRD <strong><em>content<\/em><\/strong> pages between the two aforementioned pages.<\/p>\n<p>You are done with Appendix A, with the exception of updates to any one or all of these pages, and the opportunity to use the additional one at the end, as noted above.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em><sub>Google Slides<\/sub><\/em><sub> is a trademark of Google LLC.<\/sub><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\u00a9 2017, William J.
